Comments?
Gee, what happened to all the lovely comments on this blog? I miss you guys. Maybe since half of you are already here in Memphis, you don't feel the need to write your comments. You can give them in the form of hugs and such. Well, I just like hearing from you.It has been an awesome weekend so far. Really couldn't be better except that on Thursday I got quite a scare when my sister called to say our dad was rushed to the hospital with a heart problem. He never had heart problems in his life. I started looking into flights home and figured I would miss out on the Memphis weekend. But we then got good news that the problem would be remedied easily with some minor surgery and with the implant of a pacemaker.
They did the surgery on Friday morning, he is home now feeling 10 years younger. I will get to spend a few days with him starting Wednesday when I can cook and help around the house, as he has to take it easy while he heals. A challenge for him as he doesn't like to sit still for too long.
So think of him in your thoughts and prayers and also all of us in Memphis. One more day of Deconstructing the Ex-Gay Myth!

I'll leave a comment, since I am bad about talking to people in person!
You're amazing!
And are Tex's parents always Church of Christ -- and if so, do many audiences get the joke? I've had to explain CofC to Memphians.
Looking forward for Transfigurations tomorrow.
Though I haven't commented before, I've been reading and enjoying your blog for several weeks.
Do you ever plan to bring an ex gay survivors conference anywhere else in the country? I'm personally from Florida and would love to attend something a little closer to home.
Keep on ex-gaying :-)
Err. Ex-ex-gaying - Oops :-P
cooooooeeee I am still here.... muttering away to myself as usual :) A x
I am happy I am not the one feeling 10 years younger. That would be horrible.
If he wants them he can get 5-7 years more from me.
alex.
wordk, yes, Tex and is family are always Church of Christ in the play. Most times no one gets the joke but one person in the audience unless I do it in TN or TX. (and I would love to meet you in person!)
mark, we hope to have more regional gatherings like we did in Memphis (which was amazing btw). We currently have one in the works for Nashville, Portland, OR and Barcelona, Spain. We want to work with local people who have an interest in partnering with us and putting together a gathering. So we should talk about doing some in FL.
auntie doris darling. so lovely to see you.
paraflax, you looked wonderful in Morgan's film and you are very present with us this weekend. Goodness if you were 10 years younger, you would be in high school! Yeah, I see why you wouldn't want those 10 years. I on the other hand...
Peterson, sorry to hear about your dad! I hope he's feeling better!
oops.....
note to self - rememeber to actually tell Peterson how his blog moves me, causes me to reflect etc.... :-)
As a gay Anglican priest in England, times are somewhat strange and difficult but liberation has birth pangs - your witness is a source of strength in all this Peterson!
